On March 20, Qingdao Maritime Court and the Provincial Dispatch Team stationed in Licang District jointly organized a seminar titled “Standardizing and Safeguarding the Development of the Shipping Industry, Protecting China’s Enterprises’ Overseas Interests.” Attendees included Wu Jinbiao, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Qingdao Maritime Court; Lv Yong’an, Head of the Provincial Dispatch Team stationed in Licang District, member of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of China Shandong International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co.,Ltd., Ltd.; Huang Jingyi, Chairman of Qingdao Highroad International Logistics Co., Ltd.; and relevant personnel from the Qingdao Sino-Africa Business Councial. The meeting was chaired by Duan Hengsong, Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Political Department of Qingdao Maritime Court.
During the seminar, Director Duan Hengsong briefed on Qingdao Maritime Court’s role as a specialized judicial body handling foreign-related maritime disputes, emphasizing its long-standing commitment to national strategy and the economic and social development of Qingdao. He highlighted the court’s role in the three-in-one reform pilot of maritime adjudication, effectively resolving foreign-related and maritime commercial disputes, supporting innovation in the Free Trade Zone system, and enhancing the level of maritime shipping services, thereby optimizing the legal and business environment for maritime trade in the Free Trade Zone. Chairman Lv Yong’an expressed that the Provincial Dispatch Team stationed in Licang District adheres to the principle of “rooted in Licang, serving Qingdao, and facing the world,” integrating grassroots party organization construction with the Belt and Road Initiative, actively integrating into the overall economic and social development of Qingdao , and leveraging the advantages of China Shandong International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co.,Ltd., as one of the earliest-established comprehensive large-scale foreign economic enterprise groups in Shandong Province with full qualifications for foreign operations, to support Qingdao’s high-level opening-up efforts.
Chairman Huang Jingyi stated that Qingdao Highroad International Logistics Co., Ltd., has previously collaborated extensively with Qingdao Maritime Court in legal education and other activities, promoting industry management and guiding enterprises in lawful and compliant operations. Looking ahead, she hopes both parties can jointly establish a legal education platform, leverage their respective functional roles, complement industry and legal advantages, and safeguard the healthy development of China’s shipping industry.
President Wu Jinbiao praised the work of the Provincial Dispatch Team stationed in Licang District and the Qingdao Shipping Service Industry Association, affirming that Qingdao Maritime Court will strengthen communication and exchanges with the Provincial Dispatch Team and the association, deepen understanding of the maritime judicial dynamics and needs of relevant enterprises, improve maritime judicial services, further solidify its judicial mission and responsibilities in optimizing the legal business environment, and better play its role in maritime adjudication to provide strong judicial services and guarantees for the stable and long-term development of enterprises.
